*little-stock and myself have thought it was time to launch a contest. Have much brainstorming, we came up with a theme we believe is open to a wide variety of interpretations. Let us introduce:

A New Dawn Contest

Needless to say we'd higly appreciate pimpage and prizes donations

1. the first appearance of daylight in the morning.
2. the beginning or rise of anything; advent.
–verb (used without object)
3. to begin to grow light in the morning.
4. to begin to open or develop.
5. to begin to be perceived.

So here you go, a pretty vast theme to explore in any way you want. A new day, the beginning of new era, the birth of something different? The interpretation and genre is all up to you! Just make sure you follow...


* Unlimited number of entry per contestant, but the entry must be new.The following media are accepted: Traditional painting/drawing/mixed media, digital painting/drawing, vexel/vector, photomanipulation, digital mixed-media
*Each entry must use AT LEAST one piece of stock from either *little-stock or =Cat-in-the-Stock in a visible manner (which does not mean we want it to be the focus of the piece, but do not just past a texture or a piece of sky from our stocks).
*You can use other stock, just remember to abide by each stocker’s rules. SXC and other off-DA stock must be credited to the photographer and provide a link to the actual page of the stock picture.
*Send your entry to *little-stock and =Cat-in-the-Stock in a note entitled "contest entry"
*PETA asks us to refuse horses in this contest, so just avoid them !
*Closing date : 30th April 2008
